Creating verbal page

Verbal Learning is when the person prefers to use words both in words and writing. For this activity I am creating an animal image and underneath the user has to guess the animal. I will also include the animal noise as well. To make sure the user can type the word into the box in powerpoint mode I am using a developer tools built into powerpoint and using text box active control. What this does is its allows the user to type letters into the box when in powerpoint mode.  This is extremely helpful as it allows the user to interact with the activity.

creating aural slide

Aural  (auditory-musical):  You prefer using sound and music. I have create different animals images with the noises they make so the user can click on an image and guess the sound the animal makes. I will have these animals noises in my video: Cat Dog snake horse bear sheep donkey Cow pig elephant Tiger Monkey  I have used images of the animals of the internet and then downloaded all the animals sounds off the internet aswell and linked them up to the image. I have done this in powerpoint by inserting audio and clicking on the sound file and then changing the animal image so that it matches the animal sound. This also stops the sound clip from being viewable over the image.

creating visual slide

I have hyperlinked an image of visual so that the user can link up to the visual page. Due to visual learning is about seeing things I was thinking of creating different animals noises then putting the animal noises next to them so they can hear what animal noise is what.

creating the interactive PowerPoint

I am now creating my slides for my interactive presentation and will describe each page. The first place will have the same animal background. I think this is best for consistency throughout the slides.  Each slide will have a fact slide and then a quiz afterwards. Slide 1- I got an animal background image and because there were 9 different animals on it I was going to use hyperlinks to the 1-9 different pages but after different feedback from my tutor who suggested I used different images of different learning styles and hyperlink them so the user can click on them as they don't know what they are learning about or clicking on. This will help the user become interactive with the animal powerpoint. Sl              slide 2 - Visual page – There will be a small interactive quiz which will score the user on the                        different learning styles. Sl     ...

sketching out ideas for my animals quiz

My idea is to create a quiz linked up to a powerpoint full of facts about animals and food and each slide has different learning styles. Each slide will have different learning styles such as: Visual  (spatial): You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding. Aural  (auditory-musical):  You prefer using sound and music. Verbal  (linguistic):  You prefer using words, both in speech and writing. Physical  (kinesthetic):  You prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch. Logical  (mathematical):  You prefer using logic, reasoning and systems. Social  (interpersonal):  You prefer to learn in groups or with other people. Solitary  (intrapersonal):  You prefer to work alone and use self-study. there will be a quiz at the end of each slide and should appear to the age of 8-13.

These ideas are listed below: Making a foreign language mix and match game for teenagers aged between 11-16 Making a crossword but with different clues of different aged between 13-19 Another idea I have is creating a quiz linked to a powerpoint with lots of facts about animals but with each slide has different learning styles e.g visual, listening ect.
